Steel Mold Pressing Forming Method of Zirconia Ceramics

Steel Mold Pressing Forming Method of Zirconia Ceramics

The steel mold pressing forming method is the most commonly used forming method of zirconia ceramic forming.

The steel mold pressing forming method is the most commonly used forming method of zirconia ceramic forming.

Due to the friction between the zirconia ceramic powder particles, the powder, and the die wall, there is a loss of pressing pressure, which will lead to the non-uniform density distribution of the compact.

When zirconia ceramics are unidirectionally pressed, the density will decrease along the height direction, so in order to improve the density distribution of zirconia ceramics, we can change from unidirectional pressing to bi-directional pressing (including floating negative mold), and on the other hand, we can mix lubricants into zirconia ceramic powders. such as oleic acid, zinc stearate, magnesium stearate, paraffin gasoline solution, and so on.

The pressing pressure of zirconia ceramic material is generally 40~100MPa. Usually, mold pressing forming is generally suitable for zirconia ceramic products with simple shapes and small sizes.

But with the improvement of die design and press automation, some complex zirconia ceramic parts can also be produced by the pressing method.

Mingrui Ceramic specialized in the pressing forming of the Zirconia and Alumina ceramic parts, we have professional equipment and team, and we have a strong ability for producing customizing products. Welcome to inquire!
